Bekteši: The government of S. Macedonia did not ask for wheat and corn from Serbia

The Minister of Economy of Northern Macedonia, Krešnik Bekteši, stated tonight that the government in Skopje did not ask for wheat and corn from Serbia, as Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić said.

“The government and the Commodity Reserves Agency did not ask for wheat and corn from Serbia, but if Serbia wants to give us, we will receive that amount. Then they should tell us when and where they will deliver it,” Bekteši told Sitel Television, the Ministry reported. economy of Northern Macedonia.

A statement from the ministry said Vucic said Serbia would deliver 50,000 tonnes of wheat and 25,000 tonnes of corn to northern Macedonia at its request.

Bekteshi also said that wheat and corn are continuously imported from Serbia for the needs of the economy, but also that Northern Macedonia has sufficient quantities in the state reserves and at the millers.
