The third round of talks between the Russian and Ukrainian delegates has ended in Belarus.
The head of the Russian delegation, Vladimir Medinsky, an aide to President Vladimir Putin, said that Moscow hoped that the humanitarian corridors would work tomorrow. According to him, the hopes for the third stage did not come true.
“We brought draft documents, the Ukrainian side took them to study, but failed to sign,” said Medinsky.
According to the head of the Ukrainian delegation, Mikhail Podolyak, an aide to President Vladimir Zelensky, the issue of a ceasefire was discussed, but no agreement was reached. “There are some positive developments in the organization of humanitarian corridors,” Podolyan said.
The parties agreed to hold the fourth round of talks in the near future, which will probably take place again in Belarus. The exact date of the new meeting is not yet known.
