The United Nations has confirmed the deaths of 474 civilians since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine

The UN Human Rights Office reports that it has confirmed the deaths of 474 civilians since Russia’s February 24 attack on Ukraine.

The office notes that the number of confirmed civilian casualties is 861. At the same time, the structure does not rule out that the real numbers may be much higher, in part because of the intense fighting that prevents access to information from places.
