The State Emergency Service of Ukraine reports that Russian military and pro-Russian LNR forces continue to shell Rubizhne, Severodonetsk and Lysichansk.
The report says that these cities are shelled day and night. Dozens of houses were destroyed last night. There are numerous casualties. But the State Emergency Service cannot yet name the number of dead, since search and rescue operations are impossible in the face of ongoing shelling.
On the morning of March 16, the official representative of the Russian Defense Ministry, Major General Igor Konashenkov, said that the armed forces of the LPR continue fighting in Severodonetsk (the city was not taken by pro-Russian forces).
