Today, the Party of Freedom and Justice (SAA) called on the public prosecutor’s office to urgently investigate all allegations from the testimonies of Veljko Belivuk and Marko Miljkovic, suspected of several murders and other serious crimes, about cooperation with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and Interior Minister Aleksandar Vulin.

The party asked why Belivuk’s and Miljkovic’s statements would not be a “credible source” for the prosecution if, according to the SAA, Darko Saric’s 2014 allegations of connections between then-police leaders and his clan were “so credible that even the MUP formed a special working group to investigate it, at the insistence of the special prosecutor for organized crime. ”

“Do Vulin and Vučić trust Šarić more than Belivuk? Or are they afraid that the truthfulness of Miljković’s and Belivuk’s testimony will send them to prison for decades? All the more so because Šarić’s allegations turned out to be incorrect, but they served just enough to he replaced the then top of the Criminal Police Directorate and brought in a new one, who turned out to have cooperated with the murderers from Ritopek “, stated the SAA.

They warned the competent prosecutors that, “if by their inaction they enable the impunity of individuals who provided political support to the Belivuk clan, all of them will be held accountable together with them.”

“Prosecutors have a legal responsibility and obligation to protect the citizens of Serbia from criminals, which they have not done so far, but vice versa, they have protected and thus supported criminals,” the Freedom and Justice Party said.
