Another earthquake in Japan, no tsunami alert

On Friday, northeast Japan was hit by a magnitude 5.5 earthquake. No tsunami warning was issued.

Fukushima, Japan, was hit by a magnitude 7.3 earthquake on Wednesday. A small tsunami was also observed on the coast of the prefecture.

A 5.5 magnitude earthquake hit northeastern Iwate Prefecture on Friday. This is reported by the Japanese Meteorological Agency. The earthquake occurred at a depth of 20 km. No tsunami warning was issued this time.
