ISIS weapons caches cleared in Iraq

During the operation, which was carried out by the army and police of Iraq in the provinces of Anbar and Ninewa, caches of weapons belonging to the Islamic State terrorist group were found.

According to the Ash-Sharq al-Awsat newspaper, four suicide belts, 20 improvised explosive devices, seven hand-held anti-tank grenade launchers, four anti-tank rockets, dozens of meters of Fickford cord and other ammunition were confiscated.

According to the police, the success of the operation was predetermined by accurate intelligence information. The ammunition was destroyed by sappers who arrived at the scene.
