Peskov: “Special operation is going according to plan”

In an interview with CNN on March 22, Russian President Vladimir Putin’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that the “special operation” in Ukraine was proceeding according to plan.

“From the beginning, no one thought the operation would take two days.” “This is a serious action with serious goals,” Peskov said.

He noted that the goals have not been achieved yet, it is a special operation that is still ongoing.

According to Peskov, the goal of the army in Mariupol is to “clear the city of nationalist groups.”

Peskov insisted that “nationalists do not allow peaceful people to leave the city.”

“Now we have information that the nationalists were killing those who left the city. “The main goal is to get rid of these scoundrels,” Peskov told a CNN reporter.
