Lukashenko believes that the peace mission proposed by Poland would be the beginning “of the Third World War”

The president of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, considered this Thursday that the peace mission for Ukraine proposed by Poland would be the beginning “of the Third World War”.

At a meeting in the Belarusian capital, Minsk, Lukashenko said that the Poles “are crazy” and assured that if people “want to have a country” they must “cling to it with their teeth and hold on”.

In the same way, according to the Belarusian news agency BelTA, the president, Moscow’s main ally, considers that the situation “is very serious” and “very tense”.

The Polish government has raised the possibility of NATO sending a peacekeeping mission to Ukraine, a line that the Alliance has always ruled out in principle to the extent that it does not contemplate sending troops to Ukrainian territory to avoid a potential confrontation with Russia.
