After many questions for two weeks about the circumstances of the absence of Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu – and President Vladimir Putin’s connection to the matter – it seems that a video published this morning (Saturday) put an end to the rumors. Shoigu was documented during a security meeting in Russia, for the first time after disappearing from public view for a long time.One of the allegations of absence was heart problems suffered by the Minister of Defense. In the video, he is seen leading the security debate along with a number of senior military and defense officials in Russia. The subject of the meeting was the supply of weapons to the Russian army.

It was further alleged that the credibility of the video in which the Minister of Defense appeared was in doubt. It seems that the videos in which the absent minister appeared are a compilation of recordings from previous years. These speculations got real expression when during the zoom call, the defense minister appeared for a few seconds on the screen and then disappeared. He did not speak at all, and in the moments before his conversation window appeared, a black screen appeared and the picture shook for a few seconds – unlike all the other executives who took part in the conversation.
