All 132 people on board the Boeing 737-800 of the Chinese airline China Eastern Airlines that crashed on Monday were killed. The Chinese aviation authority has officially announced this, Chinese state media reported on Saturday.
“The 123 passengers and 9 crew members of China Eastern flight MU5735 died on board on March 21,” CCTV said. Earlier in the day it was announced that 120 of the victims have been identified.
The Chinese airline expressed its condolences to the bereaved on Twitter.

The plane, en route from Kunming in Yunnan province to Guangzhou in Guangdong province, crashed Monday in a remote, hilly area near the city of Wuzhou in the Guangxi region. The aircraft dove rapidly from a height of more than eight kilometers.
