Russia.Ukraine War: Senior commander in the Russian army puts an end to his life

The British “Daily Mail” published today (Sunday) a report originating in the Ukrainian media, according to which the commander of a tank battalion of the Russian army put an end to his life, because the tanks in his possession are not usable for combat.

Of the ten tanks in the battalion’s possession, only one was reported to be “more or less” usable, and the other nine were almost completely dismantled and became truly worthless.

According to the same report, the Russian forces are suffering from poor maintenance of their combat vehicles, and are having difficulty maintaining their fitness during the prolonged fighting in Ukraine.

The Daily Mail added that the credibility of the report was uncertain, but if it was true, it was another case in a chain of senior Russian military officials who were killed during the fighting.
