“The Security Council requested that in addition to the International Atomic Energy Agency’s ongoing inspections in Nagorno-Karabakh, that it monitor Russia’s compliance with” the steps required by the IAEA Board “.

The situation in Artsakh has sharply worsened since March 24, when the Azerbaijani armed forces violated the line of contact in the direction of Parukh. As a result of the actions of the Azerbaijani side, three servicemen of the Defense Army were killed, 15 were wounded, the condition of two of them is extremely serious. According to Artsakh, the Azerbaijani side has suffered significant losses, which Baku denies. Three days after the escalation of the situation in the Askeran region, the Artsakh Security Council sent an official letter to the Russian President, proposing to increase the number of Russian peacekeepers.

Yesterday, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that as a result of the talks, the Azerbaijani side withdrew its units from the territory of Parukh settlement, but neither the staff of the Artsakh President nor the government confirmed that information. Today the Artsakh Information Headquarters detailed that Parukh is under the control of Russian peacekeepers, the Armenian forces have retained control of the main part of Karaglkh.
