The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine published data on the losses of the Russian army on the 35th day of the war

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the morning of March 30 published new data on the losses of the Russian army during the hostilities on Ukrainian territory (since February 24).

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the losses of the Russian army are as follows:
Personnel (irretrievable losses) – about 17300
aircraft – 131
helicopters – 131
tanks – 605
armored personnel carriers / armored vehicles – 1723
artillery systems – 305
air defense systems – 54
multiple launch rocket systems – 96
operational-tactical missile systems – 4
automotive equipment – 1184
fuel trucks – 75
UAV operational-tactical level – 81
boats / ships – 7
special equipment – 21

On March 25 (for the second time since the beginning of the war on February 24, 2022), the Russian Defense Ministry published its version of the casualty data, saying that 1,351 servicemen were killed and 3,825 were injured during the “special operation” on the territory of Ukraine. According to international experts, these were data from two to three weeks ago.

On March 12, during a press conference for foreign journalists, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky for the first time named the number of Ukrainian military dead: 1,300 people (after that, information about the losses by the Ukrainian side was not published). More than 1,000 Ukrainian civilians have died since February 24, according to the UN. Ukrainian authorities claim that thousands of Ukrainian civilians have died (most of the victims in Mariupol, according to local authorities, at least 5,000).

The Russian authorities claim that the Ukrainian side is spreading false information about the losses of Russian troops. But international observers say that the information about the thousands of losses of Russian army personnel in Ukraine is apparently correct. At the same time, Western experts question the accuracy of the data on the losses of the Russian army provided by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
