Mariupol Mayor Vadim Boychenko said during an online briefing that there are still about 100,000 residents in the city. Not a single bus designed to evacuate people can get into the city.
According to the mayor, the Russian military is blocking all humanitarian supplies moving in the direction of Mariupol.
Boychenko said that the city is on the verge of a humanitarian catastrophe: there has been no electricity, water, food or medicine for more than a month.
Boychenko appealed to the international community with a request to unite for the complete evacuation of the inhabitants of Mariupol.
