Parents in Ukraine write their children’s contact information on their backs in case they die

Ukrainian parents write contact information for relatives on their children’s backs in case they die in Ukraine’s war. Images shared on social media demonstrate this.

On Twitter, Anastasiia Lapatina, a Ukrainian journalist for The Kyiv Independent, posts a startling image. It depicts Vira, a two-year-old girl. Her date of birth, as well as the names and phone numbers of relatives, are inscribed on her back, despite the fact that she is still wearing a diaper.

“In the event that their children are slain and the child survives, Ukrainian moms write the contact information of relatives on their children’s bodies.” “And Europe is still talking about gas,” the journalist tweeted.

On Instagram, the girl’s mother says that she wrote those details down for her daughter in case she died, hoping that someone would look after her. She even considered tattooing them because she is so afraid.

Since the start of the war, other Ukrainian parents have done the same, sewing contact information into their children’s garments or writing information on their clothes.
