The centenary of the death of King Peter the First Karadjordjevic will be marked tomorrow, August 16, in his endowment in Oplenac with a liturgy served by the patriarch of the Serbian Orthodox Church Porphyry, in the church of St. George, after which flowers will be laid on the grave.

Along with Prince Aleksandar Karadjordjevic, the event will be attended by Minister of Labor, Employment, Veterans and Social Affairs Darija Kisic Tepavcevic, Minister of Defense Nebojsa Stefanovic, and President of the Republic of Srpska Zeljka Cvijanovic.

The guests will visit the house of King Peter the First, “Peter’s House”, where they will hold an exhibition of relics and flags in honor of that Serbian ruler, the information service of the Royal Court announced.

After the exhibition in Karadjordjev barracks, near the museum, there will be an exhibition of works from heraldry, genealogy, vexillology (scientific study of flags) and phaleristics (decorations).
