The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Friday evening, April 8, published another report on the state of affairs on the fronts and the course of hostilities.
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the attempts of the Russian troops to advance in the direction of Popasnaya and Severodonetsk continue.
To the south, the Russian military are fighting in the area of the village of Aleksandrovka. In the Slobozhansky direction, the Russian military continues to blockade Kharkov, shelling residential areas with artillery, multiple launch rocket systems and large-caliber mortars.
Russia has completely withdrawn units of its troops from the territory of the Sumy region, reports the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine claims that, according to operational information, more than 80 percent of the personnel of some Russian units do not want to participate in further hostilities, and the commanders of Russian military units have forbidden the release of servicemen whose contracts have expired until the end of the “special military operation.”
