Dead patient lies undetected in British hospital for four days

A deceased patient has been in a room of the hospital in the British town of Grimsby for four days. The health authorities are investigating how the person could have gone undetected for so long. The relatives have been offered an apology from the hospital.

An investigation was launched into the circumstances in which a deceased patient spent four days in the emergency room of a British hospital without looking after the person. The patient should have been transferred to a morgue a long time ago, but it is unclear why.

It is not clear what caused the patient to die. The identity of the deceased in hospital 150 kilometers east of Manchester has not been released.
