Arab sources: a convoy of an elite Syrian division arrived in South Lebanon

According to Arab sources, about 130 soldiers of the Fourth Armored Division of the Syrian army, commanded by the dictator’s brother Maher al-Assad, have been transferred to southern Lebanon. The redeployment has been agreed upon with Hezbollah.

According to the report, 27 units of military equipment, five jeeps and trucks with weapons and ammunition entered Lebanese territory.

The Fourth Armored Division is an elite unit of the Syrian army. She took an active part in the civil war and was involved in war crimes. Western sanctions have been imposed against its commander.
