In Sweden, violent riots continue – originated from the burning of the Koran – Abroad

The turmoil began with anti-Islamic Danish politician Rasmus Paludan’s Stram Kurs party holding protests in which the Muslim holy book Quran was burned or was about to be destroyed.

Swedish television is one example. According to SVT, the Stram Kurs party held a demonstration in Stockholm’s Rinkeby district on Friday, burning the Koran.

According to a police spokesman, the protest started off peacefully, but the disorder quickly intensified. People began throwing pebbles at the protesters as they burnt the Koran.

According to TT Aftonbladetin, at least one police officer has been injured, and at least eight persons have been arrested.

Rinkeby had roughly 300 residents, according to TT. Paluda left the area when the stone-throwing began. Stones were hurled at the officers present, according to SVT.

Tight Course also planned a rally and the burning of the Qur’an in rebro on Friday afternoon. SVT reports that the turmoil began before Paluda arrived on Friday night, among other things.

During the riot, rocks were hurled and rockets were launched, injuring at least five police officers and one civilian. Several police cars have also been set on fire.

According to Aftonbladet, in Rebro, preparations were made for the demonstration to turn violent. Some establishments, for example, closed their doors sooner than scheduled or dispatched more security personnel to the location.

When Stram Kurs emerged in both Linköping and Norrköping on Thursday, there was violence in both cities. Several police officers were injured, police cars were damaged, and one tram was attacked as a result of the stone-throwing. In addition, at least 15 automobiles were set ablaze.

In Linköping, police officers were hurt while attempting to quell the riot. The brawl started when participants in a Stram Kurs-organized demonstration planned to burn the Koran.

Authorities in Linköping granted permission for the demonstration. A demonstration was also permitted in Norrköping, but it was later withdrawn.

In Norrköping, police and rescue workers attacked about a hundred camouflaged people.

Following the events on Thursday, at least two people were arrested.

Paludan and his far-right group drew a lot of attention in Denmark a few years ago with anti-Islamic movies in which he burned bacon wrapped in bacon, among other things.
