Proruske separatističke snage delimično pokrenule napad na čeličanu Azovstal

Pro-Russian separatist forces in eastern Ukraine have partially launched an operation to attack the Azovstal steel plant in Mariupol, which houses the remaining Ukrainian forces, force spokesman Eduard Basurin said today.

“Groups formed for the assault on the facility have started working. We are receiving help from Russia, it is about planes and artillery. The so-called defenders of the Ukrainian people will finally surrender,” he said, TASS reports.

Earlier, the Ministry of Defense announced that the remaining Ukrainian forces in Mariupol were surrounded in the Azovstal factory, where 2,500 Ukrainian soldiers remained.

Two days ago, the Russian army warned that the Ukrainian troops in the Azovstal steel plant that refused to surrender would be destroyed, after it called for the surrender of soldiers in Mariupol by 1 pm, promising to spare lives.
