“Russia, personally President Vladimir Putin, played a key role in the cessation of hostilities in Nagorno Karabakh in the fall of 2020,” said the Armenian Prime Minister at a meeting with the Russian President.
Referring to the Russian peacekeeping force stationed in Karabakh after the war, Pashinyan said that their activities generally provide security, noting that “it seems we need to see what can be done to make the activities of peacekeepers more effective.”
Pashinyan stressed that most of the agenda of his visit refers to the settlement of the Karabakh conflict.
“The main political issue in our region is the settlement of the Karabakh conflict. I am sure that today we will also talk about it,” the Armenian Prime Minister said before a private conversation with Putin.
