In Iran, the car of the brigadier general of the IRGC was fired upon, his bodyguard was killed

On the night of Saturday, April 23, a car carrying the commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps in the province of Sistan-Baluchistan, Brigadier General Hossein Almasi, was fired at in the southeast of Iran, IRNA and Reuters reported.

Almasi himself was not hurt. But his bodyguard Mahmoud Absalom, who was the son of one of the regional commanders of the IRGC, died.

The shooters have been detained, according to Iranian state media.

It should be noted that the majority of Iranian Sunnis live in the province of Sistan-Baluchistan, many of whom are in opposition to the Shiite regime of the ayatollahs operating in Iran.
