Ararat Mirzoyan will leave for the United States to meet with Anthony Blinken

On May 2-6, the Armenian Foreign Minister will pay a working visit to the United States of America to participate in the Armenian-American Strategic Dialogue.

According to the Armenian Foreign Ministry, in Washington Ararat Mirzoyan will also hold meetings with US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, USAID Director Samantha Power, US Special Assistant to the President Amanda Slot and other colleagues. Meetings will be held with high-ranking representatives of the US Congress.

Within the framework of the visit, the Armenian Foreign Minister will deliver a speech at the Atlantic Council think tank.

In late April, Blinken announced that the United States was trying to stop Baku’s unilateral actions to destabilize the situation. Secretary Blinken did not specify what actions Baku meant. It should be noted that in the past, such high-level statements from the United States were mostly non-targeted.

To remind, Blinken-Mirzoyan meeting took place in Stockholm in December 2021. They discussed the border situation, the humanitarian issues in Nagorno Karabakh. After the meeting, Mirzoyan wrote on his Twitter page that the meeting was held in a constructive atmosphere ․ “The full resumption of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict settlement process was mandated by the mandate of the OSCE Minsk Group.” On the same day, Anthony Blinken also met with the Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan.
