The public prosecutor’s office has brought charges against a 25-year-old and a 16-year-old for the murder of a young person near Memmingen Airport in Bavaria. The duo are accused of first drugging their 16-year-old victim without their knowledge, then hitting them with a glass bottle and finally killing them with multiple stab wounds in November 2021.
Investigators believe the crime was planned. However, one motive “could not be clarified with sufficient certainty”.
The 16-year-old’s body was found south of Memmingen Airport one day after the crime. A little later, the police found two knives on the 25-year-old suspect that could have been used as murder weapons.
The man and the 16-year-old suspect were arrested and have been in custody ever since. According to the public prosecutor, the Memmingen Regional Court will decide whether the charges will be admitted and whether there will be a trial. (dpa)
