The German government pays a bonus of 200 euros IN social benefits

Next July, the German government is expected to pay a one-time bonus of 200 euros to recipients of social benefits to ease the burden of the Corona pandemic.

This came in a draft law of the ruling “traffic light” coalition in Germany, which was approved by the German Cabinet

The ruling coalition had originally planned to disburse the one-time Corona bonus of only 100 euros, but it increased the amount by 100 euros at the end of last March as part of other easing measures.

All adults who receive unemployment benefit type II, basic insurance or social assistance will benefit from this allowance.

What is new, decided by the Council of Ministers, is the payment of a one-time allowance of 100 euros to people who receive unemployment benefits of the first type. The draft stipulates that everyone “who has the right to receive unemployment benefit for at least one day in July 2022” will have the right to receive unemployment benefits. This premium.

No exact date has yet been set for the transfer of these bonuses.

The draft also stipulated the payment of a one-time children’s allowance of 100 euros in addition to the children’s allowance granted by the Family Affairs Fund. The bonus is expected to be added to the tax-exempt children’s allowance so that families with limited income can benefit more from it.

According to the draft, it is expected that from next July all children in Germany who are entitled to a child allowance, in addition to refugee children from Ukraine, will benefit from this allowance.
