Lithuania recognizes the actions of the Russian military in Ukraine as genocide

The Lithuanian Parliament approved a resolution that recognizes the actions of Russian troops in Ukraine as genocide, since the goal of the Russian authorities is the annihilation of the Ukrainian nation.

The resolution, unanimously adopted by the deputies, states that the Russian armed forces and mercenaries have committed massive war crimes on the territory of Ukraine, especially in the cities of Bucha, Irpin, Mariupol, Borodyanka and Gostomel, the Delfi website reports.

The Seimas of Lithuania also recognized Russia as a terrorist state. “The Russian Federation, whose armed forces deliberately and systematically select civilian targets for bombing, is a state that supports and commits terrorist acts,” the resolution reads.
