For the second time in two days: 18 Israelis were injured abroad
Second accident in Laos within a day: another bus carrying 18 Israelis overturned in northern Laos. The passengers, with only minor injuries, were evacuated from the scene.According to Clal Insurance and Finance’s report, after the passenger bus overturned, another bus was sent to the scene and evacuated everyone back to the city of Luang Prabang, and from there to the hospital for further treatment.

 

As a reminder, yesterday a serious accident was reported in which a passenger bus overturned and injured 13 Israeli tourists with varying degrees of injury, including the seriously injured. On the findings, the bus driver fell asleep, veered off the road and overturned. The wounded Israelis are being referred to local hospitals and the families have been informed.

 

 

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said after the accident yesterday: “Last night there was a serious car accident in Laos involving Israeli travelers. The Department for Israelis Abroad and the Israeli Embassy in Vietnam worked around the clock from the moment they received the news of the car accident to arrange for the transfer of the injured Israelis to medical treatment in Thailand. Currently, 13 Israelis are known to be injured.”
