Kinepolis expands with new cinemas in Spain

Kinepolis will operate a cinema from 1 October in a commercial centre in the heart of Andalusian Almería. The cinema has ten screens, good for 2,608 seats. It is a rented cinema, Kinepolis is not taking over the real estate.

After the takeover, Kinepolis will operate eleven cinemas throughout Spain, four of which are in Andalusia. Kinepolis already has two cinemas in Granada and one in Málaga in that southern region.

In the long term, a new cinema will be added to the capital. It concerns a cinema with a maximum of twelve screens that Kinepolis will rent in a commercial centre yet to be built next to the airport.

Kinepolis has been active in Spain since 1998. The Belgian company has 109 cinemas worldwide, of which 63 in seven European countries, 36 in Canada and ten in the US.
