Melania Trump: "Proud to have posed nude"

Melania Trump is proud of having posed nude when she was a model and reminds those who criticize her for it that the “celebration” of beauty is part of the culture. “We should honor our bodies and embrace the timeless tradition of using art as a powerful means of self-expression,” the former first lady said in a video posted on X to promote her memoir that will be published in October.

“Are we no longer able to appreciate the beauty of the human body? Throughout history, great artists have venerated the human form, provoking deep emotion and admiration,” he added.

Born in Novo Mesto, Slovenia, 54 years ago, she posed nude in the late 1990s and early 2000s. During Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign, nude photographs of Melania taken in 1995 and later published in a now-defunct French men’s magazine were used to attack the Republican candidate.

In 2000, British magazine GQ published a cover featuring Melania in the nude on Trump’s plane. The former president and the first lady married in 2005 and have a son, Barron, 18. Trump’s two previous wives were also models: Ivana Zelnickova, with whom he had three children – Ivanka, Donald Jr. and Eric – and Marla Maples, mother of Tiffany.
