IL: At Caruna, the change negotiations concern the entire staff

Electricity network company in Caruna change negotiations have started, Evening newspaper news.

The scope of the negotiations includes the entire personnel of the electricity grid company, i.e. 240 employees. Caruna estimates the reduction need to be a maximum of 32 person-years. The number of layoffs would be a maximum of 25 permanent employees.

“In order to secure our short-term business ability and longer-term financial position, we announced 60 million euros in investment cuts at the beginning of the year, and we also made other cost-saving measures. ​We want to take care of our competitiveness and our efficient way of working, and that is why we need to make our operations more efficient”, CEO of Caruna Jyrki Tammivuori commented on the matter to Iltalehti.
