Horror in Demerje: A train ran into a BMW, dragged it 70 meters, the driver (32) was pulled out by firefighters

A man (32) was injured after a train and a car collided tonight in Demer, a settlement south of Zagreb. As we have learned, the car in which the 32-year-old man was was dragged by the train for about 70 meters after the collision, and the firefighters of JVP Zagreb intervened to pull him out of the vehicle and deliver him to the emergency services.

– We went out at the call of the OKC police to remove a man from a vehicle that was being dragged by a train for about seventy meters – we learn from JVP Zagreb.

The Zagreb police received a report about the incident around 1:50 a.m.

– Namely, a 32-year-old man who was driving a BMW car with Zagreb license plates was moving on the south side of the Svetog Benedikta roadway in the southeast direction. Arriving at the railroad crossing, Demerje did not stop the vehicle before the crossing when the ramp was lowered and when the light and sound signals announced the approach of the train. On that occasion, a moving train ran into the front of the car, and the trainč the car suffered physical injuries. Transported to KBC Sestre Milosrdnice – the police told us, adding that the severity of the injuries is not yet known.
