Speculation about health status: Danso has to continue to take a break

Given his uncertain state of health, ÖFB team player Kevin Danso continue to pause. Like his employer RC Lens confirmed, the defender will be out of action for Saturday’s away league match against Rennes, as he was last week. Two days after his 26th birthday, Danso is forced to continue to watch after his transfer to AS Roma due to medical problems. Since then, further investigations have been carried out.

“The medical staff is continuing the tests with Kevin Danso,” said a Lens statement on Friday. According to Danso’s management, more clarity should emerge in the next few days. The defense chief has recently trained with the team, but will have to sit out Ligue 1 for the second time in a row.

In the 2023/24 season, Danso played over 30 games in the French league and for the Austrian national team. In the current season, he played in the first two Ligue 1 games and in the Champions League play-off. After failing to change clubs, Danso was recently absent from the national team to undergo medical examinations.
