Syrian opposition: IRGC imposes curfew in area of ​​checkpoint on Syria-Iraq border

The Syrian opposition reports that the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps imposed a curfew in the town of Al-Bukamel and surrounding villages in Syria, on the border with Iraq. It lasted from 12:00 on September 18 until 5:00 on September 19.

IRGC and Syrian army units have been conducting intensive patrols in an area that includes a checkpoint on the Iraqi border, presumably in connection with the transfer of weapons from Iraq.

The opposition says the Hezbollah communications explosions have caused panic among the Guards and pro-Iranian militias, with militants in Deir ez-Zour province getting rid of their phones for fear they too will explode.

On the afternoon of September 18, the Saudi Arabian television channel Al-Hadath reported on its page on the social network X that as a result of pager explosions in Deir ez-Zour, in eastern Syria, 19 representatives of the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps were killed and another 150 QIR members were wounded.
