The G7 of Culture in Pompeii remembers Giogiò

At the end of the concert of the Nuova Orchestra Scarlatti, conducted by maestro Beatrice Venezi, which was held this evening at the Archaeological Park of Pompeii, among the events scheduled by the G7 Culture of Naples, the young Giovanbattista Cutolo was remembered with a long and moving applause, killed last year in Naples. Giogiò was one of the most promising musicians of the Nuova Orchestra Scarlatti.

“An unforgettable evening, we remember Giogiò who was a member of this orchestra”, said the Minister of Culture Alessandro Giuli.

“We witnessed something unique in a unique place. It is an evening that we will hardly forget”, he concluded thanking the artists for their participation and former Minister Gennaro Sangiuliano and Undersecretary Gianmarco Mazzi.

“There are only shared successes, never personal ones”. During the evening, the Scarlatti Orchestra performed several pieces, including the Symphony from “Italiana in Algeri” and “La danza” from Gioacchino Rossini’s Soirées musicales, “Casta Diva” from Vincenzo Bellini’s Norma, Symphony from Giuseppe Verdi’s “Nabucco”, Intermezzo from “Manon Lescaut”, “Vissi d’arte” from Tosca, “La tregenda”, Intermezzo from “Le Villi” by Giacomo Puccini, “Rapsodia” by Roberto De Simone.

The maestro then took the stage Andrea Bocelli which thrilled the audience with various songs and the grand finale with which “Oh my sun”.
