Court gives X 5 days to validate his legal representative in Brazil

Rio de Janeiro., The social network X has appointed a legal representative in Brazil, one of the requirements for it to resume operations in the country, but it will remain suspended until other judicial requirements are met. Brazil’s Supreme Court has given Elon Musk-owned social platform X five days to submit documents validating its new legal representative in the country, a court ruling showed on Saturday.

Lawyers for X said late on Friday that he had appointed a legal representative in Brazil, meeting one of the court’s demands to allow the social media platform to resume operations in the country.

In the new decision, Supreme Court Judge Alexandre de Moraes considered that the requirement to restore the service was not properly fulfilled and gave X a deadline of five days to provide business records proving that it formally hired Rachel de Oliveira Conceicao as its legal representative in Brazil.
