The ÖSV loses its women’s representative

The Austrian Ski Association complains about a prominent departure shortly before the start of the season: Petra Kronberger announced her resignation at the end of the year.

The Olympic and World Champion has been with the ÖSV since 2014 as Women’s Representative and most recently headed the “Optimal Sports” department.

“Since my return to the ÖSV, my focus has always been on the well-being of the athletes. I look back on many exciting, educational and emotional moments back,” Kronberger is quoted as saying in the press release.

The “Optimal Sports” department focuses on personality development, health development and resource awareness (social sustainability).

Following the most recent structural reform, this area will be integrated into the medical department at the ÖSV, which is why Kronberger decided to step down. “What Petra has built up and achieved is great. It’s a shame that the collaboration ends before the home World Championships in Saalbach,” says ÖSV sports director Mario Stecher.
