Car crashes into rescuer! Police officer and paramedic seriously injured

Kaltenkirchen (Schleswig-Holstein) – Accident drama north of Hamburg – rescuers suddenly become victims because a Skoda driver is not paying attention.

Total chaos on Monday evening on Hamburger Strasse in Kaltenkirchen. First two cars crashed into each other – actually a simple rear-end collision. Police and two ambulances arrived at the scene of the accident.

Then, at 7:54 p.m., the unthinkable happened: A young man drove his Skoda station wagon at the scene of the accident, first into an ambulance, then into a stopped Opel Corsa and pushed it into the front of another ambulance.

Inside, rescuers and those involved in the accident are thrown through the car. A policeman and a paramedic are even seriously injured. They have to with the rescue helicopter to the hospital. Four other injured people were also taken to the clinic.

After the second crash, six more ambulances had to arrive. The accident became a major operation. Why the Skoda driver failed to see the accident, or whether he was possibly under the influence of alcohol or drugs, The police are now investigating.
