Gusttavo Lima, arrest warrant for the singer of ‘Balada’: the charges

The court of Pernambuco has Arrest of Brazilian singer Gustavo Lima orderedas part of an investigation, known as ‘Operation Integration’, into money laundering and illegal gambling, which also led to the arrest of influencer Deolane Bezerra. According to the court, which also ordered the seizure of the singer’s passport, Lima helped two wanted individuals leave the country. Earlier this month, a plane registered to the company Balada Eventos e Produções LTDA., of which Gusttavo Lima is a partner, was seized.

In a statement, The singer’s defense said it learned of the arrest request from the mediawhich “is a decision completely contrary to the facts already clarified” and assured “that no effort will be spared to legally fight an unjust decision without legal foundations”.

Lima became famous worldwide thanks to the song Balada, a real summer hit in 2012.
