Oktoberfest: Woman injured in head shot in shooting gallery

München – Bizarre Oktoberfest accident, this time at one of the air rifle stands.

A man apparently accidentally shot the operator (53) of a shooting gallery at the Oktoberfest in the head.

An emergency call came in around 4 p.m.: A person had been shot in the head and had a slight headache.

In the shooting gallery on the festival grounds, the operator is said to have been kneeling and stocking shelves and when she got up she came into the path of a guest.

The stretcher team that deployed took the lady to the medical station’s treatment station, where a trauma surgeon removed the bullet from the right side of her head removed.

Gunshot wound required stitches

“The 4 millimeter bullet penetrated the scalp, was then deflected by the bone and lodged 2 centimeters deep in the scalp. The resulting wound had to be stitched with three stitches,” writes the Aicher Ambulance.

After ensuring that all parts of the projectile were completely removed, the lady was able to leave the medical station on her own.
