After launching a ground operation in southern Lebanon, Israel reported its first casualty. The 22-year-old commander died during the battles against Hezbollah.
“Hezbollah” is an armed group and a party that is represented in the Lebanese parliament.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced yesterday that it is conducting “limited ground operations against Hezbollah structures and infrastructure in southern Lebanon” and that these operations are “based on accurate intelligence.”
The ground operations in Lebanon were preceded by massive airstrikes of the Israeli army on targets in Lebanon, which are associated with Hezbollah, recognized as a terrorist group in the United States.
