Berlin – Major fire in the northwest of the capital! A fire broke out in a production building in Charlottenburg-Nord on Thursday morning.

At 5:14 a.m. the emergency services were called to the “Mischau meat factory” on Riedemannweg. The fire department arrived with 120 personnel. Thanks to the quick deployment, it was prevented from spreading to other buildings.

“The situation is clear, we do not expect the fire to spread any further,” said a fire department spokesman.

The fire spread to an area of ​​1,400 square meters. The roof of the building collapsed. The rescuers were on site with special forces such as a drone team and a fire boat.

Residents were warned about odor nuisance via the Katwarn app. According to the spokesman, people in the area should keep their windows and doors closed.
