184 passengers are evacuated from a Ryanair flight due to fire in a wing during takeoff: “Between screams and panic attacks they helped us get out”

Passengers on a Ryanair flight in Brindisi, southern Italy, were evacuated shortly before taking off this Thursday early in the morning after fire was detected on a wing of the plane.

“Flight FR8826 from Brindisi to Turin was delayed this morning after the cabin crew will observe fumes on the outside of the aircraft,” Ryanair said in a statement, Reuters reports.

“The passengers were disembarked without incident and returned to the terminal by bus,” he added.
