184 passengers are evacuated from a Ryanair flight due to fire in a wing during takeoff: “Between screams and panic attacks they helped us get out”

Passengers on a Ryanair flight in Brindisi, southern Italy, were evacuated shortly before taking off this Thursday early in the morning after fire was detected on a wing of the plane.

“We were about to leave, then flames were seen on one of the wings of the plane. Between screams and panic attacks They immediately helped us get out,” one of the passengers told the media. Puglia newspaper.

Italian media said 184 passengers were on board and that the presence of firefighters was required to address the incident.

“Flight FR8826 from Brindisi to Turin was delayed this morning after the cabin crew will observe fumes on the outside of the aircraft,” Ryanair said in a statement, Reuters reports.

“The passengers were disembarked without incident and returned to the terminal by bus,” he added.
