Slaven’s coach Kovačević: Until the age of 11, I lived in Jablanica, my relatives are still there, horror

Coach Slaven Belupa Mario Kovačević (49) moreć He has lived in Varadin for almost 30 years, where he moved from Sarajevo in the nineties. He arrived in the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina as an 11-year-old in 1986, and before that he lived in Jablanica, a town ten kilometers away from Donja Jablanica, a place whose photos went around the world after the flood.

– I have some acquaintances in Donja Jablanica. I’m so relieved about everything that happened. People will help, and I would also like to get involved as much as possible – Kovačević told us. so he describes his hometown:

– My uncle and uncle live in Jablanica with their families. Č we went in and, thank God, they are fine. In Jablanica, roads were mostly damaged, houses, fortunately, were not. The cataclysm was in Donja Jablanica – explains Kovačević, describing the beauty of that area:

– Nature is beautiful. There is probably no such natural beauty anywhere in the world as in that region, in northern Herzegovina. Really untouched nature, but, as we have seen, nature is cruel – concluded Kovačević the morning after he stopped the championship leader Rijeka with Slaven.

They played 0-0, with his team’s controversial goal disallowed. However, Kovačević did not engage in arguments nor did he vent his anger.
