Representatives of the Ministry of Science, Education and Youth and the City of Zagreb held a meeting with the professional service of the school where the student was transferred due to his violent behavior in another school in Zagreb.

Because of him, the parents did not send their children to school either on Friday or Monday, with the fact that on Monday the children of the other fourth grades of that school did not go to school as a sign of support for the class that received the problematic student. About 700 children did not come to school.

– We did not expect that after the first day of school, a situation would arise as if that child was some kind of criminal who killed someone. What should we do? Throw that child in jail, that’s elementary school, čfourth grade. We accept that he behaves inappropriately, he is a child who normally participates in class, responds intelligently and understands the teaching process, he has inappropriate behavior. That’s why it was decided to have an assistant – pointed out Fuchs. The minister said that it is true that the parents did not send their children to classes.
– It’s pressure on the system to remove that child from school, it’s a message to you, let’s have a log-revolution without talking. We will talk to the parents. with everyone, there is no dilemma, but what do you expect the system to do. A situation of managing the school from the backyard will appear – said Fuchs.
In the evening hours, a parents’ meeting of the class attended by the student should be held, as well as a meeting with the school’s parents’ council, where concrete further steps should be presented to the parents with the aim of resolving the situation as successfully as possible.
– We don’t know what is being planned, in the first shift half of the students did not come to school, and according to the agreement of the parents, it will be the same in the afternoon shift as well – said one of the parents. He added that a meeting of the parents’ council is scheduled for 7 p.m., where they will see if the Ministry and the City will offer them a solution.

Earlier, he seemed like a reasonable person to us, but now it looks like he is protecting the parents of that boy – angry parents said in unison on Friday after the meeting with the principal. They added that they did not want anything bad for the boy who caused the chase, and that they would like him to be helped in an adequate way.
– Why don’t they take him to a suitable institution. I can’t move him from school to school. This will not solve his problematic behavior. Are any of the institutions working with his parents, psychologists or social workers? The child certainly did not become like that by himself – conclude the outraged parents. They claim that they will not give up their intention to protect their children from a problematic student.
