Madonna’s younger brother Christopher Ciccone died of cancer at the age of 63

According to Poptähti, the siblings were different in nature and society tested them.

Pop star Madonna’s kid brother, Christopher Ciccone63, has died. Ciccone, who had cancer, died next to her husband on Friday in Michigan, New York Post confirm.

Madonna, by real name Madonna Louise Veronica Ciccone, published an obituary of his brother on Sunday on Instagram.

“He was the closest person to me for so long. The bond between us is hard to explain,” Madonna writes.

Poptähti writes that the siblings were different in nature and society tested them. Dance was a kind of superglue that held them together, Madonna writes.

“Finding dance in our small Midwestern town saved me. Then my brother came along and that saved him too. My ballet teacher, also named Christopher, created a safe space for my brother to be gay.”

Ciccone made a career as a dancer, interior designer, designer and fashion designer. He served as stage manager and artistic director for Madonna’s tours in the 1990s.

However, when the 21st century came, the siblings quarreled.

Ciccone opened up about her inflamed relationship with her sister in her book published in 2008 Life With My Sister Madonna. Among other things, Ciccone accused Madonna’s ex-husband Guy Ritchietä of homophobic behavior.

Madonna has not publicly commented on her relationship with her brother, who is a couple of years younger than her. However, according to the obituary, Madonna got closer to her brother again when he fell ill.

“The last few years have not been easy. We didn’t talk to each other for a while. When my brother got sick, we found our way back to each other,” Madonna recalls on her Instagram.
