Climbers from Russia died in Nepal

In Nepal, in the area of ​​Mount Dhaulagiri, four climbers from Russia died, according to Anna Piunova, a representative of the mountaineering community.

On October 7, Piunova wrote: “Since yesterday, there has been no contact with Dusheiko’s group (Oleg Kruglov, Vladimir Chistikov, Mikhail Nosenko, Dmitry Shpilevoy). The guys went on an assault, did not reach the summit and began their descent. At eleven in the evening they made contact for the last time. Valera Shamalo went out for the assault with the group, but later felt bad and decided to return. He spent three nights above 7000, today he independently descended to the camp at 6100 m. Denis Aleksenko and Artem Tsentsevitsky climbed to the summit in difficult conditions and descended to the base yesterday. camp”.

On the morning of October 8, Anna Piunova reported: “Dhaulagiri. Bad news. This morning there was a flyby. Valera Shamalo was removed from the camp at 6100, evacuated to the hospital. The guys were found. All died, a ligament was torn.”

Dhaulagiri is a multi-peaked mountain range in the Himalayas. The main peak of the massif, Dhaulagiri I (8167 m), is the seventh highest eight-thousander in the world.
