Rodgers team New York Jets part ways with coach Saleh

The New York Jets around star quarterback Aaron Rodgers have parted ways with head coach Robert Saleh. The coach has to leave because of the recent setbacks in the 9:10 against the Denver Broncos and the 17:23 in London against the Minnesota Vikings. For the remainder of the season, previous defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich was promoted to head coach. He is responsible for one of the best defensive lines in the National Football League (NFL) this season and is expected to lead veteran Rodgers’ team into the playoffs.

The Jets want to make it back into the playoffs after almost a decade and a half, so they brought superstar Rodgers from Green Bay to New York in the spring of 2023. Last season they missed their goal because the quarterback was out for almost the entire season due to a torn Achilles tendon in the first game.

Disagreements between Rodgers and Saleh?

Under Coach Saleh, the Jets currently have a season record of two wins and three losses. Overall, as the club’s head coach, he only had 20 successes in 56 games and, according to media reports, he had recently become less and less in harmony with the 40-year-old playmaker Rodgers.

“This was not an easy decision,” Jets owner Woody Johnson said in a statement, “but we are not where we expected to be and I believe now is the best time for us to move in a different direction.”
