Table tennis: Alexis and Félix Lebrun back in club and France, two months after the Paris 2024 Olympics

After setting the Paris 2024 Olympic Games on fire and making their official return to competition last week during the China Smash in Beijing, brothers Alexis and Félix Lebrun will make their return to the French circuit.

This Thursday, October 10 at 7 p.m., they will compete with their Nîmes-Montpellier Alliance club in the first day of the French Pro A table tennis championship in Castelnau-le-Lez, in the suburbs of Montpellier.

 

This is a first competition in France for the duo since the Paris fortnight, which saw the two brothers win at least one medal: individual bronze for Félix, and team bronze for both as well as for their teammate Simon Gauzy .

At the beginning of October, the two brothers made their return to current affairs at the Grand Smash in Beijing, China. Together, they reached the semi-finals of the men’s doubles tournament, beaten by China’s Liang Jingkun and Wang Chuqin. In the individual category, Félix was beaten in the round of 16 by Peng Xiang and Alexis lost as soon as he entered the competition on Monday, once again beaten by the Brazilian Hugo Calderano, who had already ruined his dream of an individual medal during the Games. from Paris.

 

At the end of October, from the 22nd to the 27th, Montpellier will also host one of the four stages of the WTT Champions circuit, a major event on the “ping” planet which welcomes the 32 best table tennis players in the world.
